There are many causes of infertility for both men and women. Issues with males may include: hypothalmic dysfunction, use of certain drugs, chemotherapy and radiation, testicular dysgenesis, obstruction of the vas deferens, and coital dysfunction. Women may have ovulatory dysfunction, tubal and pelvic factors, hyper or hypothyroidism, intrauterine adhesions, use of certain drugs, lead or high levels of metals, and chemotherapy and radiation, just to name a few. It is important to seek medical knowledge and use CST in conjunction with your regular physician. CST can help clear personal issues with conception and surrounding belief patters and ideas around fertility. It is also a positive way to "get the house in order" before baby moves in. If there are fascial (coating around the organs and muscles) restrictions in the pelvic floor, uterus, ligaments of the uterus, ovaries or fallopian tubes, CST can be used as a gentle way to open up and prepare the body for conception. Lastly, conception takes two people and CST is often more effective when both partners are treated.
